Mags....the scrappy quilter: Has it been that long???

Has it really been over a month since I have posted anything new?????  Wow does the time fly.  Not much is really happening except the ususal holiday rush of "hurry up to get it done and wait in line to shop"........Most of October was spent traveling then it seemed like Thanksgiving was here.......more traveling but to be somewhere 75 and sunny for a few days was GREAT...........now it's time to get ready for Christmas........rest....I need rest :-) Album of Memories...Robert Callaham design Applique' Wall Hanging...if I can find it. I sorted out the fabric for it, bought the little piece I needed that was not in my stash and NOW it is lost. How can I have it all in my hands one minute and the next it's gone? 100 days to get my act together.

Or less. I know those fair entries have to be turned in days before opening day.

Yikes! Where has this year gone?

As luck would have it, the official book of contests and rules was waiting in my mailbox when I got home from my last business trip.

I’ve been poring over it this week, trying to figure out what I can do in the next 100 or so days.

If I leave out the cooking categories, here’s some of the possibilities:

Fine arts: My paints probably haven’t been touched since I first put them in the basement 8 years ago, but I could try an oil or a watercolor. Abstract of course. Will have to remember that it needs to be framed.

Photography: The theme this year is Kentucky Transportation. Planes. Trains. Automobiles. Lots of possibilities.
